Emergency Closure on State Route 78
SAN DIEGO –Mudslides in the area have required Caltrans to close State Route 78 (SR-78) in Ramona about a half-mile west of Horizon View Drive to half-mile east of Horizon View Drive, according to the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans).
Crews expect to have the roadway cleared and opened by the Friday morning commute.
Caltrans advises motorists to drive with caution and avoid the area by using an alternate route, such as Bandy Canyon Road, to Highland Valley Road, to SR-67 northbound, to SR-78.
