SAN DIEGO – WHO: California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) District Director Pedro Orso-Delgado and San Diego Association of Governments (SANDAG) Executive Director Gary Gallegos.

WHAT: Regional transportation experts discuss recent and future transportation projects and management tools aimed at reducing traffic congestion and improving commute times in San Diego County.

WHEN: Tuesday, Sept. 4, starting at 10 a.m.

WHERE: Caltrans District Office, 4050 Taylor Street. Please check in at the front desk and staffers will escort media to event site.

WHY:               A portion of the briefing will address the Texas Transportation Institute’s Urban Mobility Report, and transportation projects and congestion management tools that have helped reduce travel times.
