Temporary Closure of Restrooms
and Dump Stations
at I-5 Rest Stops in San Diego
SAN DIEGO – Construction crews will be shifting the Interstate 15 (I-15) southbound traffic lanes left into the median lanes beginning the morning of August 1.
A benefit of this lane shift will be the addition of a lane, which will help alleviate the heavy traffic that occurs in that area.
Signs will be posted to detour motorists from just north of the Lake Hodges Bridge to the median lanes. In addition, the on- and off- ramps to West
Bernardo/ Pomerado Road will be closed up to nine days, in order to construct temporary access to the shifted southbound lanes.
The median lanes detour will end north of the Duenda Road Bridge overcrossing. This detour is being used to allow work to be done on the existing southbound lanes.
