Interstate 15 Set for Closure At the Duenda Road Bridge

SAN DIEGO – All lanes of Interstate 15 (I-15) will be closed for the Duenda Road Bridge on Sunday, Dec. 3 from 11:30 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. Dec. 4 to perform prep work for the upcoming demolition of part of the bridge. This closure may be repeated on Monday, Dec. 4 at 11:30 p.m. until 4:30 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 5 if needed.

The contractor does not plan to close both directions of I-15 at a time, however this may change if necessary.

The following detours will be in effect:

Southbound motorists will be taken off I-15 at the West Bernardo Drive off-ramp and directed south along southbound West Bernardo Drive and back onto I-15 at Rancho Bernardo Road.
Northbound motorists can detour the closure by exiting the freeway at Rancho Bernardo Road and head east to Pomerado. Turn left on Pomerado and return to I-15 at the Pomerado/Highland Valley Road on-ramp.
