Lost and Found

During the course of the year, Caltrans employees recover lost property on highways and freeways. These lost goods are stored at a Caltrans maintenance station. This station has stored a wide variety of objects including:

Wallets
Purses
Date books
Fallen objects from the top of cars (e.g. bicycles, mattresses, etc.)
Brief cases

If objects are not claimed within six months, they are turned over to the appropriate authorities or properly disposed of by Caltrans. For lost & found objects on freeways or highways, please call:
