The
Consultant Services Unit (CSU) generally initiate and
manage Consultant contracts such as Architectural &
Engineering (ON- Call & Project Specific) Contracts
and Service Contracts. The CSU unit exercises over-site
on all contract monitoring and management issues such
as initiation, compliance and contract progress payments.
The CSU maintains the records for all contracts payments
invoice payments and contracts history. |

Architectural
& Engineering Contracts
The Architectural & Engineering Contracts (A&E)
are the largest dollar amount contracts issued by Consultant Services
Unit. The issue of an A&E contract is initiated by a need expressed
by the Project Manager of the contract due to several reasons such
as needed specialized expertise, potential savings to the project
if a consultant is utilized. The A&E contracts are issued but
not limited to the following:

- Geotechnical Engineering
