The BIDDER'S INQUIRIES & RESPONSES will be updated continuously with the last posting no later than 15:00 on Wednesday prior to the bid opening.
Caltrans District 11 Construction Department will post all of the questions submitted by any of the registered Planholders for that Contract, but reserves the right not to answer any questions deemed unsatisfactory for public viewing.

Is there complete section / elevation or detail plan of the roof penthouse, located above the generator room . Is this a prefabricated structure?  If so who is the manufacturer?

  • Yes, see sheet M-2 detail 1 ROOF EXHAUST PLAN notes **Louvered penthouse similar  refer to Section 15.02 of the Special Provisions Roof Exhaust Fan.--

It appears that the existing concrete slab is cantilevered over the footing. Please clarify.

  • Refer to sheet A1-1, "REMOVE (E) CONCRETE AND REPLACE".  There appears to be a discrepancy with detail 3 on sheet ST3-3.  Please bid as per the contract plans and contract general conditions and special provisions, unless an addendum is issued.

The truck ramp extension does not indicate the demolition of the existing wide flange, flush with the concrete. Please clarify.

  • Refer to note 1 at Detail 2 on plan sheet ST2-4.

The sump pump replacements are they to be equal like and kind as to the replacements in the existing bays. Please clarify.

  • Refer to note at Detail 1 on plan sheet M-4.  Sump pumps in inspection bays are relocated from existing sumps.

The glass doors and store front system a manufacture is not specified?  Are they to match the existing doors  and store front system at the facility?
