INQUIRY FORMAT
Caltrans District 11 Construction Department
has developed this method of answering Bidder's Inquiries to better serve
the needs of the Contractors who bid on our Projects. Only when stated
in the Special Provisions will contracts have posted INQUIRIES AND RESPONSES.
The BIDDER'S INQUIRIES
& RESPONSES will be updated continuously with the last posting no later
than 15:00 on Wednesday prior to the bid opening.
Caltrans District 11 Construction Department
will post all of the questions submitted by any of the contractors that
are registered Planholders for that Contract, but reserves the right to
not answer any questions deemed unsatisfactory for public viewing.

Which stabilizing emulsion are we to
use for the Soil Stabilization process described in the above section.
Per Section 10-1.17 of the Special Provisions
the STABILIZING EMULSION shall be in accordance with requirements of Section
20-2.11 STABILIZING EMULSION of the Standard Specifications. |

Items 18 & 19 Asphalt Concrete Dike
The contractors who will perform the
installation of asphalt concrete dike will require that work to be performed
with equipment working on the shoulder. The shoulders are 2.44 meters wide,
the berm machine is 2.2 meters wide, and asphalt trucks will be staging
on the shoulder. The areas that receive AC dike do not have a lane closure
chart. Will lane closures be required for this work? If lane closures are
required, will the time limits be those shown on the shoulder closure chart?
