1 Q:02/20/12 |
Plan Sheet / Specification Reference= Staged Construction Plans and new standard plan NSP T3A Question = The staged construction plans show that the edge of excavation will be 1.5' from back of temp railing type K. The new standard plan T3A is included in the project plans. Will all the K rail be required to be staked per this plan when the excavation is 1.5' from back of K rail? If yes, will the State allow the use of all thread bolts and a threaded nut to hold the washer to the K rail?

2 Q:03/01/12 |
Plan Sheet / Specification Reference= Special Provision Question =
According to the bid item list there are 920’ of Concrete Barrier Type
60 Mod. Where can the detail for this modified wall be found in the
plans?
|
|
3 Q:03/01/12 |
Plan Sheet / Specification Reference= Var Question = 1- Ref Item 67, Plan detail sheet C-1(38/346), Quantity Summary sheet Q-1(277/346), and the various Layout plan sheets and Electrical Plan sheets. Please take a look at what you require for this barrier on C-1, and the limits called out for on the layouts and quantity summary sheets. Confirm your intent to build this roller coaster barrier, with elevation changes at each electrolier. 2- Same stuff as ref above. Per the " Limit of
Payment" note on the detail plan, C-1, Type 60RC will have a limit of
approx. 78'-8" lft. Per the Electrolier spacing on E-7 E-8 amd E-9, of
approx. 200 LFT there will be approximately 102 lft not measured and
paid as Type 60 RC barrier. Will you clarify the " Limit of Payment"
please?

4 Q:03/06/12 |
Plan Sheet / Specification Reference= Question =1-Ref Addendum #2- The information shown is missing dimensional details for barrier width, top and bottom; side slopes, and quantification. Additionally there are 17 locations called for on Plan Sheet SDS-1, but the quantification for Item 69, shown on Plan Sheet 277 is for only 12 locations @ 76 LFT/ea. Will this ambiguity be clarified before bid by another addendum? 2- Ref your earlier response to pre bid inquiry # 3 parts 1 and 2- We disagree with the answer, as your "check" appears to be incomplete. This Item 67 as currently presented in the bid documents is ambiguous, and conflicting. 3- Clarify if the Concrete Barrier Transitions shown on Plan Sheet 41, upper right hand side of the sheet, for 6 locations at Overhead Sign Foundations are to be constructed without galvanized steel closure plates, similar to Concrete barrier Type 60 E Standard Plan A 76C at Sign Pedestals.

5 Q:03/06/12 |

|
6 Q:03/06/12 |
Plan Sheet / Specification Reference= 36, Jointed Plain Concrete pavement, 317, RSP-P18 Question = Revised Standard Plan P-18 (Case 1) shows a longitudinal joint with tie bars between new concrete lane and new concrete shoulder. Please confirm Case 1 applies to this project.
