  R:06/13/12

Plan Sheet / Specification Reference= REF: Sheet C-2 Construction Details, Pedestrian Ramp Details.

Question= The pedestrian ramp detail shown on Sheet C-2 indicates it will be built with HMA. The Pedestrian Ramp at Station 757+03.69 in the plans indicates that it will have truncated domes (3'x4') installed. Since all of the other ramps on the job are Called "Curb Ramp Case A", the ped ramp detail on C-2 has to be refering to the ramp at station 757+03.69. This being the case we are perplexed about how to install truncated domes in an HMA ramp. Please Clarify.

  • Please refer to Section 10-1.36 "CURB RAMP DETECTABLE WARNING SURFACE" of the Special Provisions.
