  • If applicable, drivers of certain equipment, as well as the equipment, must be properly registered and licensed by DMV. Certification that identifies the owner-operator, his/her contractor's license number, description of the equipment and license number, days and hours worked each week, etc. is required of the contractor employing the owner-operator.   Q:10/11/2010
R:10/12/2010

Plan Sheet / Specification Reference=

Question= 1) Based on the plans and related document, we believe slope repair at 805/Murray Ridge Rd is only at the NE side of the 805 FWY. Since pages 1, 2 and 19 are confusing, please let us know that the work at 805 is only at the North-east side on the Northbound of the 805 FWY.

  • The slope repair work at 805/Murray Ridge Road is only on the North Bound Off-ramp to Murray Ridge Road on both the east and the west sides as shown on the layout sheet L-1.

2) The plan does not call for placing K-Rail at the 805-site, for this site the K-Rail will be placed only at the off ram (Murray Ridge Rd - appx. 1700 LF), is this correct assumption. If yes, there is not much room to safely work at the site while the contractor is working on the lower portion of the slope. Please advise.

  • Correct, the plan does not call for placing K-Rail at the 805-site, however Chart No 5 is provided for shoulder closure at NB 805 from 0.34 Mi. south of Murray Ridge OC to Murray Ridge OC as shown in Section 10-1.13 of the Special Provisions.
