Reference= Fiber Optic Communications System for the Construct New
Freeway Project #11-09184. the Electrical drawings E-1 through
E12 and E-17, E-18 have a note at the top – “ 1 – Lighting and sign
illumination, lighting (city street), and F/O communications system IS
PART OF THE PROJECT PLANS PHASE III.” Question= 1. What does this mean? “PHASE III” part of project. 2. What is included as total Fiber Communications System for this project? Conduit pathway, Fiber Cabling, Connections as a complete operating network. Drawings show pathway and indicate fiber type and count. Interface equipment is shown / indicated in Camera System areas. 3. Is this portion of the bid (Fiber Optic Communications System) responsible for complete Fiber Optic Communications design? It obviously ties into the camera system. I do not see a breakout of this in the costing schedule.
Phase III shall consist of the following work:
Pavement Delineation Plans
Sign Plans/Quantities Sign Detail Signals, Lighting and Electrical Systems Complete design of Phase III, including final plans for Phase III, will be provided to the Contractor within 120 days after approval of the contract. The issuance of Phases II and III shall be by change order in conformance with Section 4, "Scope of Work," of the Standard Specifications. Project plan sheets marked, "Preliminary for Bidding Purposes Only," shall not be considered complete as to the design. These plan sheets are provided only to show the scope of the work to be performed, and shall only be used for the purpose of bid preparation.

The required vertical clearance is 4.6 meters.
