Plan Sheet / Specification Reference=Plan sheet SW-27

If it refers to the Caltrans Engineer, will the Engineer make that determination and provide details prior to the bid?

  • In accordance to section 1?1.18  Engineer, of the 1999 Standard Specification "The Chief Engineer, Department of Transportation, acting either directly or through properly authorized agents, the agents acting within the scope of the particular duties delegated to them." In this case the agent whom the duties are deligated to is the Resident Engineer.
