Bidders are cautioned that subsequent responses or contract addenda may affect or vary a response previously given.
Caltrans District 11 Construction Department has developed this method of answering Bidder's Inquiries to better serve the needs of the Contractors who bid on our Projects. Caltrans District 11 Construction Department will post all of the questions submitted by any of the contractors that are registered Planholders for that Contract, but reserves the right to not answer any questions deemed unsatisfactory for public viewing.
The BIDDER'S INQUIRIES & RESPONSES will be updated continuously and all attempts will be made to do the final posting by 15:00 on Wednesday prior to the bid opening.

Plan Sheet / Specification Reference= Page 112/specificatins, Page 8/31 of the plans.

Question= Page 112 of the specifications " modify curb ramp " says that prefabed detectible waring surfaces shall be in conformance of the State General Services Department of State of ARCH...etc 
We cannot locate that on their web site.  Do you have a list of approved vendors? Or can you be more specific? ie web site address.etc  Where is the cast in place detectible curb ramps as shown on page 8 of 31 paid for? The same page shows a table 1 and table 2 ..What do they refer to and what to the quantities mean ??  Which face do want.. ie plan tile or refective plan  tile? Do you have a list of approved vendors or what is the specifications for these ?

  • Contract item No. 15 "Modify curb Ramp"  provides the payment for the cast in place detectible curb ramps.
  • Tables 1 and 2  may be disregarded, due to inaccuracy of their information.
  • PLAN - TILE AND REFLECTED PLAN - TILE is the same tile providing more information in two views, with less clutter.
  • There in no list  of approved vendors .
