has developed this method of answering Bidder's Inquiries to better serve
the needs of the Contractors who bid on our Projects. Caltrans District
11 Construction Department will post all of the questions submitted by
any of the contractors that are registered Planholders for that Contract,
but reserves the right to not answer any questions deemed unsatisfactory
for public viewing.
The BIDDER'S INQUIRIES
& RESPONSES will be updated continuously and all attempts will be made
to do the final posting by 15:00 on Wednesday prior to the bid opening.

PLACE RINFORCING STEEL MAT, PLACE APPROACH SLAB TIE BARS, PLACE CONSTRUCTION JOINT AND POUR. THIS AMOUNT OF WORK TAKES LONGER THAN THE 1 HOUR ALLOWED BY THE TRAFFIC CHARTS. THE DEMOLITION AND EXCAVATION WORK IS PERFORMED PRIOR TO TAKING THE THIRD LANE. CAN YOU SUPPLY ADDTIONAL TRAFFIC CONTROL CHARTS TO ALLOW A LONGER WORK WINDOW?

Question= 1- Refrence Sheets 13,27, 28,45, 51 and 72 of the plans. The requirements of construction including the removal of existing MBGR or bridge rail, installation of Type WB Transition Rail at Locations 3,4,13 and 14 are the same as Location 20, 21, 23 and 24. All eight locations call for Type 12 B guard rail layout as shown Standard Plan A77F1. However, no minor Concrete End Post, Temporary K rail, Temp Crash Cushions are provided for at locations, 3, 4 , 13 and 14. Request that you clarify your intention.
