Patrick Creek - Introduction

This $19.4 million project proposes to widen the roadway at 3 locations to accommodate STAA trucks. The roadway has many short radius curves, and the widths of the shoulders are narrow or negligible. Where short radius curves and narrow shoulders coincide, STAA trucks can off-track from their lane and encroach into the lane used by traffic traveling in the opposite direction. The proposed improvements will widen the roadway, prevent off-tracking, increase sight distance, and enhance safety.
