Division of Right Of Way
Right of Way is responsible for the appraisal and acquisition of real property for transportation projects, as well as the relocation of households and business from properties required in conjunction with freeway improvements. Right of Way oversees relocation of public utilities, railroads, and Local Agency right of way efforts as well as property management, excess land sales and airspace leasing. The District Right of Way Office works closely with the Departmentâ€™s public and private partners to effectively deliver quality transportation projects while assuring equitable treatment.
