FREEWAY (134) SOUNDWALL CONSTRUCTION - UPDATE

As part of a $6.8-million soundwall
construction project to reduce noise generated
by freeway traffic on the Ventura Freeway (134)
in the Burbank, Toluca Lake and North Hollywood
areas, the following closures will be in effect
as follows from Monday, June 2 through Friday,
June 6:

Nightly between the hours of 7 p.m. 6 a.m.:

The Vineland Avenue on-ramp to the northbound
Hollywood Freeway (170)

Nightly between the hours of 8 p.m. 6 a.m.:

The westbound Ventura Freeway (134) off-ramp to
Lankershim Boulevard
- The westbound Ventura Freeway (134) connector
to the northbound Hollywood
Freeway (170)
-
Nightly between the hours of 9 p.m. 6 a.m.:
-
One westbound lane from Hollywood Way to Lankershim
Boulevard

Nightly between the hours of 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.:

One lane of the northbound Hollywood Freeway (170)
from the Ventura Freeway (134) connector to Tujunga
Avenue

Nightly between the hours of 11 p.m. to 6 a.m.:

Two westbound lanes of the Ventura Freeway (134)
from Hollywood Way to Lankershim Boulevard

Nightly between the hours of 11:59 p.m. and 5
a.m.:

The westbound Ventura Freeway (134) off-ramp to
Cahuenga Boulevard
- DAILY between the hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.:

One lane of the westbound Ventura Freeway (134)
connector to the northbound Hollywood Freeway

- The Vineland Avenue on-ramp to the northbound
Hollywood Freeway (170)

The following city streets will be closed daily,
intermittently between the hours of 7 a.m. to
4 p.m.:

Northbound and southbound Vineland Avenue between
Riverside Drive and Hortense Street

The following city streets will be closed daily,
intermittently between the hours of 9 a.m. to
5 p.m.:

Northbound and southbound Ledge Avenue between
Riverside Drive and Sarah Street
- Northbound and southbound Forman Avenue between
Riverside Drive and Sarah Street
- Eastbound and westbound Riverside Drive between
the Ventura
Freeway (134) undercrossing and Hortense Street
- The following city streets will be closed nightly,
intermittently between the hours of 8 p.m. to
10 a.m.:

Northbound and southbound Vineland Avenue between
Riverside Drive
and Hortense Street
- Eastbound and westbound Riverside Drive between
the Ventura
Freeway (134) undercrossing and Hortense Street
- Northbound Lankershim Boulevard between Riverside
Drive and Hortense Street
There may be certain unavoidable
inconveniences during the construction period.
Caltrans and the contractor are aware of concerns
regarding nighttime noise during construction
and will do everything possible to keep the noise
to a minimum.
Access to businesses and homes
throughout the construction area will be maintained.
When closures occur, signs and detours will be
posted to assist motorists. Construction and closure
dates are weather-permitting and subject to change.
Estimated completion is spring, 2004.
