STATE ROUTE (SR 134) OVERNIGHT CLOSURES FOR SOUNDWALL CONSTRUCTION

GLENDALE – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will close one eastbound and one westbound lane of the State Route 134 (SR 134), between Pacific Avenue and San Fernando Road May 5 through May 7, from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. daily as part of a $3 million soundwall construction project.

The following ramps will be closed intermittently May 5 through May 7, from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.; consecutive ramps will not close concurrently.

· Westbound Central Avenue on-ramp, eastbound Central Avenue off-ramp
· Westbound and eastbound Pacific Avenue off-ramp and on-ramp
· Westbound San Fernando Road off-ramp, eastbound San Fernando on-ramp

Signs will be placed to assist motorists. Closures are weather permitting and subject to change. The project, contracted by the J. McLoughin Engineering Company Incorporated of Rancho Cucamonga is scheduled for completion in winter 2004.

Caltrans reminds motorists that fines are doubled in work zones. Please remember to slow for the cone zone.
