District 7 is swimming in awards this year, thanks to the success and celebrity of the I-405 closure also known as Carmageddon. Already a Tranny winner,  the project also won an AASHTO award in the "Ahead of Schedule Small Project" category. Now Caltrans has another opportunity to bring home the double gold. This year, the project in the running for two prizes: the Grand Prize and the People's Choice Award. Both awards include a $10,000 cash prize that can be donated to a nonprofit charity or scholarship fund. The Grand Prize will be determined by a panel of judges. The People's Choice Award will be determined by you, the people, through an on-line voting process.
