Joe Ochoa

Congratulations to Warehouse Supervisor Joe Ochoa, who received a Superior Accomplishment Award for his work at the Bandini Warehouse. Ochoa's efforts have significantly improved safety, security, budget tracking, inventory controls, and staff morale.

Guillermo Potes

Congratulations to Guillermo Potes, associate transportation engineer with Local Assistance, who received a Certificate of Commendation from the City of El Segundo for his vital assistance with the Douglas Street Gap Closure Project. Potes helped the City handle project funding issues.

Retired Public Employees Association of California (RPEA), Chapter 007, sent a letter to Public Affairs Manager Dave White and Public Information Officer Maria Raptis thanking them for a presentation they gave at a RPEA luncheon in Pasadena on October 14. Here’s an excerpt:

“ … Your information and response to our questions was really very thorough and informative. I really appreciated the fact that you folks were so helpful in allowing us an insight into Caltrans and the workings of what you do as well as the areas that you cover in your work.”
