Employees and Deputies share good times on "Executive Row"

There is usually a lot of activity on the 13th Floor of the District Headquarters Building, but one day a year it's a packed house as Executive Staff puts out the welcome mat for employees.

The annual Holiday Open House, held last month on December 20, is an opportunity for the District Director and the deputies to show their appreciation to employees for all their hard work throughout the year.

As usual, the event involved an abundance of delicious food, good cheer and beautiful holiday decorations. "Having an opportunity to chat with employees and see them enjoy themselves is one of the holiday traditions I really look forward to," said District Director Doug Failing. "It's a chance for us all to recharge our batteries before we launch into what will undoubtedly be an energetic new year."

Several people were involved in planning and executing the event. They include: Marcia Graves; Jacqueline Carter-Mills; Jayne Crowder; Meiching Chu; Sandra Elattar; Cristira Reyes; Rosalba Sanchez; Diane Thomas; Tanisha Butcher;Ling Ta Wong; Yessica Jovel; Henderson Ray Guidry; Joe Perez; Ruben Mendoza; Susan McGinn; and Hedi Oberg. District 7 greatly appreciates their efforts.

(L to R) Environmental Deputy Ron Kosinski, Landscape Associate Glen Levstik, and District Director Doug Failing enjoy the festivities. Next year, a conga line. (L to R) Construction Deputy Peter Chan, Environmental Deputy Ron Kosinski, Maintenance Deputy Dan Freeman and Project Management Deputy Tad Teferi show their holiday spirit. (L to R) Marcia Graves, Yessica Jovel and Jayne Crowder (back) from Public Affairs work on last minute preparations.
