At its March 15 meeting, the CHMP Steering Committee ratified the Big Sur Coast Highway Management Plan. The group met to discuss new issues that were raised during the public review of the January 2004 Preliminary final document. After evaluating a series of refinements, members of the Steering Committee signed in support of the planning effort (see the signature page). This represents a significant milestone for the broad-based planning effort that began in 1998.The March 2004 Final CHMP is now undergoing publication and will be available by the end of April 2004.The Final CHMP incorporates the refinements considered by Steering Committee at its March 15 meeting, based on the comments received by March 5 on the January 2004 edition (review comments received).
