Inquiry #1: Will the department consider changing the two-component paint (specified as Polyurea) with two-component epoxy paint? There are no trucks in California capable of installing two-component polyurea paint.

Inquiry #2: This is in reference to bidder inquiry # 1. The statement that was asked by the contractor stating that there are no polyurea trucks in the region is in fact 100% false. Polyurea has been installed throughout Caltrans region 2 and being installed in regions 6 & 10. There are 4-Polyurea Striping trucks in the area. Therefore we respectfully request that Caltrans reject bidder inquiry # 1 and bid the Polyurea Paint as specified in the project specifications.
