Inquiry #1: 1. Would the State consider increasing the work window for the cold plane AC pavement, HMA, SAMI-R and RHMA operations to 10 hours?
2. Is SAMI-R required on the shoulders?
3. Our previous experience with SAMI-R has required an extensive amount of correctional grinding, due to the continuous starts and stops of the SAMI-R operation. Can the State eliminate smoothness where the pavement is underlain by the SAMI-R or at a minimum reduce the requirement from 60 MRI to 75 MRI?
