Inquiry #3: The bid list indicates a contractor-supplied biologist or CSB listed under Bid Line Item 18, Code 146002 is needed for this project. In reviewing the project documents it is unclear as to the extent of the role of the CSB. What is the frequency (e.g., daily, weekly) the CSB is expected to be on site over the life of the project? Inquiry #6: Bid item 36(F) 560218 Sign Structure - Are walkways desired for these 3 OHSS's? Caltrans has been removing walkways from nearly all OHSS's that use Class XI Reflective Sheeting per directives issued and this job is using Class XI sheeting. Sheet SD-2 shows walkway beams attached to the trusses but no other mention is made as to if they are required or not.

Inquiry #9: Page 41, Division X, 86 General states:
"Add to the end of section 86-1.02C(3) of the RSS for section 86: Hold-down bolts must be Penta Head 1/2-13UNC..."

Boxes with Penta Head 1/2" to are not available to purchase from any manufacturer, and thus cannot be provided. 3/8" is the standard- will this be acceptable for this contract?
