Inquiry #1: The GR runs on sheet L-40 have a box culvert that is going under the GR. The run on the right side should be good. Looks like it is deep enough, the run on the left side will not be. Wondering how Caltran would like to install GR over box Culvert on left side. Looks like there will be 5 posts that are affected.

Inquiry #2: On sheet #3 L-1 it shows a detail at the top of the page for 0.65' HMA Type A which appears to be patching the asphalt in front of the gutter on the streets. However, the Layout Sheets do not show this patching on the front and back side of the new Valley Gutters. Also where is the asphalt accounted for in the summary of quantities?

Please advise.

The quantity of HMA (Type A) required for the asphalt patching for curb ramps and valley gutters form placement, is included in the Roadway Quantities Table under "Sta 154+66 to 521+00" (44,675 Tons). Inquiry #5: Bid item #67 - Pre/Post Construction Surveys. Is a pre survey counted as 1 and a post survey counted as number 2 or is a pre/post survey considered one each? Also is the state still performing all other survey on this project?

Inquiry #6: On plan sheet C-86 the detail for AC Pavement Repair shows 0.33' of cold planning in isolated areas per the chart on Q-7. This is to be performed after the mainline cold planning of 0.3' or 0.2' per the typical cross sections. However on page 148 of the RSS, section 39-3.04A states: "Schedule cold planning activities such that the pavement is cold planned, the HMA is placed, and the area is opened to traffic during the same work shift." I don't see this being feasible with such a tight work window at night not to mention all the electrical loops that will need to be cut in after cold milling and prior to mainline paving.

Please advise.
