Inyo, Mono & Eastern Kern Counties – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) would like to alert the traveling public to be careful of workers on the Highway, to Slow for the Cone Zone and Move Over where possible.

Please call the Caltrans District 9 Public Affairs Office for current road and traffic conditions. The office is not staffed on nights and weekends, but the hotline will be updated as needed.

STATE ROUTE 203 IN MAMMOTH LAKES / MONO COUNTY - SIDEWALK PROJECT: Curb, Gutter and Sidewalk construction ongoing. The #1 lane will be closed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week until October 31, 2016. There should not be any traffic delays.
US HWY 395 / MONO COUNTY - INYO MONO BRIDGE TRANSITION RAIL PROJECT: Crews are replacing bridge railing at several locations. Daytime lane closes without any expected traffic delays.
US HIGHWAY 395 - LEE VINING / MONO COUNTY - LEE VINING ROCKFALL SAFTEY PROJECT: Construction crews are working on the north side of the road constructing rock fencing. This project is expected to be completed in Fall 2016. One-way traffic control, with a pilot car and flaggers will be in effect Monday thru Friday. Motorists should expect up to 20 minute delays.
US HIGHWAY 395 - NEAR BRIDGEPORT / MONO COUNTY - GREEN LAKES CAPM PROJECT: Construction crews are reconstructing and repaving the roadbed. One-way traffic control, with a pilot car and flaggers will be in effect Monday thru Friday. Motorists should expect up to 20 minute delays.
INYO KERN COMMUTER MESSAGE SIGNS PROJECT: Commuter Message Signs are being installed in 4 locations.
The Crestview Safety Roadside Rest Area is scheduled to close for the season December 1st, 2016 and not reopen until March 30th, 2017. The rest area is not able to stay open during winter conditions.
