Interstate 99 Striping Project

DESCRIPTION

This project will remove existing 4-inch traffic striping and replace with 6-inch striping on Interstate 99 from the San Joaquin County line to U.S. Highway 50 and from the Route 5/70 split to the Route 70/99 Split. The project will also replace traffic markers with “wrong way” markers and will also add Interstate Pavement Markings at key interchanges.

PROJECT BENEFITS

The wider traffic stripes will be more visible to the traveling public and autonomous vehicles. Traffic stripes will be more visible in inclement weather. The “Wrong Way” pavement markers will provide a more continuous reflection warning to wrong way drivers.
