Butte State Highway 70 Overlay Project


DESCRIPTION

This is a Pavement Maintenance Project located in Butte County that will remove asphalt concrete, place 0.10’ of rubberized hot mix asphalt and replace traffic stripes.


PROJECT BENEFITS

Purpose: The purpose of the project is to preserve the drivability and serviceability of this section of Route 70.

Need: This portion of Route 70 contains alligator cracking, rutting, delaminating and is degrading such that a Highway Maintenance program is needed to preserve the existing roadway.


FUNDING BREAKDOWN

The Project Approval and Environmental Document (PA&ED) work and the Design support components are being funded from the State Highway’s Major Maintenance Program. The Construction Support and Capital expenses are funded from the SB1 Program.

COST ESTIMATE:
Support Cost: $200,000.00
Capital Cost: $1,344,377.00
Total Project Cost: $1,544,377.00
