I-15 Express Lanes Reconfigured Sunday

SAN DIEGO ——Maintenance crews will move a seven-mile section of the Interstate 15 (I-15) Express Lane barrier wall Sunday from 3-11 a.m., for barrier wall maintenance. The Express Lanes will be reconfigured to one northbound lane and three southbound lanes from State Route 163 (SR-163) to State Route 56 (SR-56)/Ted Williams Parkway, according to Caltrans.

The Express Lanes will return to two northbound lanes and two southbound lanes by 11:00 a.m.

Caltrans reminds drivers to be alert when the barrier transfer machine is moving by avoiding distracted driving and paying constant attention to traffic.

More information about the I-15 Express Lanes including who can use the Express Lanes and frequently asked questions is available online at http://www.dot.ca.gov/d11/15express/.

Californians can expect more roadway improvement projects made possible by the recently passed Road Repair and Accountability Act of 2017, Senate Bill 1 (SB 1). Caltrans is committed to conducting its business in a fully transparent manner and detailing its progress to the public. For complete details on SB 1, visit http://www.rebuildingca.ca.gov/.
