The Office of Smart Mobility and Climate Change
The Office of Smart Mobility and Climate Change (OSMCC) within the Division of Transportation Planning at Caltrans, works to address a statewide need to improve coordination between transportation planning and decision-making and local land use planning and decision-making. We focus on the need for community-sensitive approaches to transportation and land use decisions as well as how sustainable transportation choices can best be made. OSMCC also works to enhance Caltrans’ leadership role in the development and delivery of transportation projects that are consistent with community values and which therefore enjoy more public support.
